I love coming across a story with a cadence readers can pick up on easily. A group of children unearth a giant pumpkin on Halloween and must flee as it rolls downhill, gaining momentum.
And as for the sound it makes as it goes?
'Round and 'round
across the ground
makin' a
thumpin'
bumpin' sound
came that
thumpety
bumpety
thumpin'
bumpin'
round and roll-y
RUNAWAY PUMPKIN!
