About the Shelf Challenge

The Shelf Challenge is a  reading challenge for librarians to read one shelf in their library during School Library Month in April. You are sure to find some books that deserve a second look, and some that need to possibly be weeded.

The Shelf Challenge was started in 2012 by Matthew Winner ( All the Wonders, & The Busy Librarian) as an opportunity to really get to know your collection. In 2015 Colleen Graves (Create, Collaborate, Innovate) took over the Shelf Challenge, and this year Kristi Taylor (First Floor Librarian) will be  continuing their awesome legacy in the Shelf Challenge's 5th year which starts in April 2016.
